Digitalization of manual forms 15CA 15 CB duration 7th June 2021-15th August 2021 is Live now
In view of difficulties reported by taxpayers in the filing of the forms online on http://incometax.gov.in between 7th June 2021-15th August 2021, the CBDT granted relaxation in the electronic filing of forms 15CA and 15CB, and Taxpayers were submitting Form 15CA/15CB in MANUAL FORMAT to the authorized dealers.
Now, In accordance with the Press release dated 20th July 2021 issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), functionality for uploading Form 15CA and Form 15CB submitted with Authorised Dealers in the manual format during the period 7th June 2021 to 15th August 2021 has been enabled at e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in. But this functionality may not be used for uploading Forms submitted other than this specified period.
According to the Income Tax Act, 1961, there is a requirement to furnish Form 15CA/15CB electronically. Taxpayers upload the Form 15CA, along with the Chartered Accountant Certificate in Form 15CB. Wherever applicable, on the e-filing portal, before submitting the copy to the authorized dealer for any foreign remittance.
In view of the technical issues, earlier the CBDT advised authorized dealers to accept such Forms till 15th August 2021. For the purpose of foreign remittances and later extended manual submission due to continued problems. It was said that a facility would be provided on the new e-filing portal to upload these forms at a later date to generate. The Document Identification Number.
